The Pylon Group, an advisory and software studio for cybersecurity, technology, and AI, opens for business today with two software platforms generally available and a senior advisory practice in market. The firm operates on a single thesis: the same practitioner who writes the strategy deck should be the one writing the product roadmap.
Pylon is built around the overlap between advisory and software. The practitioner's view comes from the place where the two meet, and the tools we ship are the ones we wished existed when we ran those programs ourselves.

The Pylon Group is an advisory and software studio led by a practicing CISO and CIO. The advisory practice embeds senior operators as fractional CISO and fractional CIO leaders for mid-market, enterprise, and PE-backed companies, alongside governance, risk and compliance, AI engineering, and managed third-party risk management (TPRM) powered by Scout. The software side ships Scout for continuous third-party risk, Anvil for the M&A technology and security lifecycle, and Command for the unified security operating picture currently in development.
